World record in the Emirates
Gluing of the glass facade of the Commercial Bank of Doha in Qatar succeeds in record time
In the course of a project in the Emirates, the team of Beta Automatisierung Handels GmbH developed a sticker system, which was attached to a vertically movable elevator on the outer façade. This meant that two high-rise buildings with a total of 3500m² of glass façade had to be covered as quickly as possible in the state of Qatar, which has a population of around 1.4 million, on the occasion of "Qatar National Day". In addition, the films had to withstand the enormous temperatures in the Persian Gulf and still be able to be removed without leaving any residue after the event. The concept developed by us managed to successfully cover the entire 2100m² of exterior façade in just 16 hours - this is a current world record. For this reason, Qatar National Day was remembered twice.
